The Municipality of Chalki is pleased to announce that the project \u201cRevitalization of the Chorio Settlement on Chalki\u201d (Revitalizing Chorio Settlement) has been selected by the European MIP4Adapt program to receive specialized support aimed at identifying and securing funding for its implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This selection represents significant recognition of the Municipality\u2019s strategy to protect and promote the island\u2019s cultural heritage, as well as to strengthen Chalki\u2019s resilience in the face of the challenges of climate change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the program, the Municipality of Chalki will collaborate with specialized consultants and the relevant Member State Facilitator to develop a comprehensive Delivery Plan, which will define the priorities, the timeline, and the funding opportunities for advancing the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The revitalization of the historic village of Chorio is a flagship initiative for Chalki, aimed at preserving the area\u2019s historical and architectural identity, attracting new residents and activities, and creating the conditions for sustainable development for future generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mayor of Chalki, Evangelos Fragkakis, stated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe selection of our project by MIP4Adapt is an important step toward realizing our vision of breathing new life into the historic village Chorio of Chalki. We continue to seek European partnerships and funding instruments that will contribute to the revitalization of our community, while respecting its history and keeping the future of its residents in mind.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
