Fue fundado por los caballeros del Orden de San Juan a mediados del siglo XIV y permaneci\u00f3 en pie hasta que se rindi\u00f3 a los otomanos en 1522, tras la ca\u00edda de Rodas. Se puede acceder a \u00e9l a trav\u00e9s de un sendero que sube desde la iglesia de Panagi\u00e1 (Virgen) en Jori\u00f3. La subida es un poco empinada, pero no dura m\u00e1s de 20 minutos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">A la entrada del castillo ver\u00e1 el escudo de armas del Capit\u00e1n de los Caballeros Hospitalarios, Pierre d&#8217;Aubusson. La iglesia de San Nicol\u00e1s a\u00fan se conserva dentro de las murallas, con frescos de los siglos XV y XVII.
