The Mayor of Chalki and Managing Director of the Development Agency of Dodecanese, Mr. Evangelos Fragkakis, initially attended the New Year’s cake cutting event of the Development Agency of Dodecanese, confirming the ongoing commitment to cooperation and strengthening the development prospects of the Dodecanese islands.
Mr. Fragkakis congratulated the President, the members of the Board of Directors and especially the General Manager, Mr. Kostas Zifos, and his colleagues for their high level of professionalism and seriousness in their constant contribution to the support of island communities.
Then, the Mayor attended the cutting of the New Year’s cake of the A.S. Halkis, an event full of warmth, pride and intense emotion, which highlighted the power of collectivity and contribution.
Mr. Fragkakis praised the entire Board of Directors of the A.S. Halkis and especially the President, Mr. Manolis Syntychakis, the Vice President, Mr. Giannis Cheimonettos, and the Secretary General, Mr. Dimitris Fragkakis, for their vision, consistency and selfless contribution to youth and society.
He made special mention about the Technical Director, Mr. Lazaros Throumoulopoulos, and his associates, underlining that the high level of organization, quality and competitive image of the Sport Department are now a reference point for the Dodecanese and a source of pride for the entire island.
The Mayor stressed that A.S. Halkis is not just a sports organization, but a living core of social cohesion, which inspires children and young people to dream, struggle and grow up with values.
Mr. Fragkakis assured that the Municipality of Chalki will continue to stand by the A.S. Halkis, not only institutionally but also humanly, recognizing the valuable social work it performs.
