The Municipality of Chalki is actively participating in Attica Green Expo 2026, the largest exhibition on the environment and sustainable development in Greece, taking place from May 27 to 30 at the Indoor Olympic Tae Kwon Do Stadium in Palaio Faliro. With its own exhibition booth, the Municipality of Chalki is showcasing the multifaceted project that has been implemented on the island in recent years, highlighting Chalki’s journey as a model of sustainable island development and green transition.
Visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to learn about the initiatives that have made Chalki a benchmark at the European level, such as the energy transition, the operation of the Energy Community, the promotion of electric mobility, digital transformation initiatives, the protection of the natural environment, the sustainable management of natural resources, and policies that strengthen the resilience of small island communities.
At the same time, the Municipality’s booth showcases the best practices implemented on Chalki in the areas of the circular economy, environmental education, social cohesion, and sustainable tourism development, confirming that even a small island can lead the way and serve as a laboratory of innovation for all of Europe.
The Municipality of Chalki’s presence at the Attica Green Expo represents an important opportunity to exchange knowledge, experiences, and partnerships with local government bodies, scientific organizations, businesses, and institutional representatives active in the fields of green development and climate resilience.
