The Municipality of Chalki participated dynamically in the special presentation event of the Dodecanese islands entitled “Bridge of acquaintance between Dodecanese and Saudi Arabia”, which took place on the island of Rhodes, during the visit of an official delegation of tourism and aviation operators, as well as media representatives from Saudi Arabia.
The event was organized by Pellos Travel, with the participation of the Region of South Aegean and all the Municipalities of the Dodecanese under the auspices of the Promotion Tourism Organisation of Rhodes (PROTOUR) and with the support of the Rhodes Hotel Association, constituting an essential extroversion initiative for the whole of the Dodecanese.
During the event, the island of Chalki was presented by the Deputy Mayor of Tourism and Development, Mr. Vasilis Roussakis, as an authentic, quality and sustainable destination, with emphasis on:
– the unique architectural physiognomy of Emporios,
– the natural environment and soft tourism development,
– the island’s strategy as a model for green and digital transition,
– the ability to offer high-quality experiences for demanding markets.
This participation strengthens the Municipality’s strategy for targeted international promotion in markets with growth potential, creating conditions for new tourism partnerships and expansion of the tourist season.
